Child Find

The districts have an obligation to child find. If your child is age 3 to 22 and you suspect them of having a disability please reach out to your child’s building leader for student services for assistance with the process. 

 

Child Check

Children ages 2.5 to 5 years old, for Amherst and Mont Vernon residents. Screenings are conducted by trained professionals for children with suspected delays in development in the areas of early learning, speech, motor, vision, and hearing. Respective districts will advertise times twice yearly. These are by appointment only. Gateways provides Early Supports and Services to meet developmental needs of children birth to 3. Healthcare coordination for individuals birth to 21, Family Support for individuals 3-21, Family Support Council, High School Transition and Respite Care Case Management.


Waypoint- Parenting Plus (603) 518-4000

Waypoint provides guidance and support in short term home visits for families with children birth to 21, Coordination of services, Assisting with parenting concerns associated with housing, employment, child wellness, educational issues, and behavioral and emotional stressors.
