Installing Office 365 Pro Plus

1.   Login to your school provided Office 365 account.

2.   Once you are logged in:

  • Click on the gear in the upper right corner next to your profile picture. Select Office 365 Settings.
  • In the left hand side of the page that comes up click on Software
  • The first link that is selected is going to be Office.
       a. You can install office on up to 5 computers as long as you are attending school at SAU39.
  • From the office link you should see an install button near the bottom of the page. Click install and you will be prompted to download and run the setup program.
  • Once the initial program has been downloaded and if it didn’t automatically start running please go to the download folder and double click the install.
  • As the setup program is running it will download the office install, this can take some time to complete because the install is coming from the internet. Depending on the speed of your connection this can vary in the time that it takes to complete.

    During this time that things are being installed please do not go off line or shut down your computer. Shutting down will interrupt your install of Office and can result in not working correctly, to correct the issue if this happens you will need to remove and reinstall.
  • After office has completed installing your system should now be linked to your OneDrive online cloud storage.
3.   To make a new document in OneDrive:
  • Click on the OneDrive link at the top of the portal page.
  • On the document page click on New with the plus sign next to it.
  • Select what type of document you want to make.
  • Once the new document is open for editing you can give it a new name at the top by double clicking on documents temporary name and typing the name you want it to be.
  • To save the document there is nothing that needs to be done, saving is automatically taking place as you are typing.
