School counseling is comprehensive and proactive, working to meet the needs of all students.

Counselors assist students with social, family, emotional, and academic issues on an ongoing or crisis basis.

Small group thematic sessions on specific topics are conducted during the year as needed.

Counselors provide in-class guidance lessons designed to promote academic achievement, personal/social awareness and career exploration.

Counselors assist in inter-school transition and new-student orientation. The counseling team consists of three counselors who are assigned to one fifth grade team and to a specific grade level beginning in sixth grade and follow the same students throughout their time at the middle school.
