BUS INFORMATIONQuestions? Please contact Deb DeCoteau at Butler's Bus Service at 213-6401 or firstname.lastname@example.org
The Amherst School District uses Butler Bus Service. For any problems with your child's bus, either with the route or for an incident on the bus, please contact the bus company directly at 213-6401 or Rbogle@Butlersbus.com. Students on the AMS bus travel with the high school students. They are dropped off at the loop between the high school and middle school in the morning and walk over to AMS. There is constant supervision of all loading and drop-off of the buses.
Bus passes: students need a bus pass if they are taking a bus other than their own afternoon bus OR if they are taking their own bus to a different stop.Students should drop their bus pass notes in the office in the morning on their way to their class. Notes should include the student’s name, the bus they will be taking and their destination with their parent/guardian signature. They can pick up their pass in the office during lunch, and they hand the pass to the bus driver when getting on the bus.
Late Bus Policy
A late bus is provided for after school activities only. Students must have a late bus pass signed and dated from the supervisor sponsoring the after school activity. Students will not be given a pass by the office. The late bus does not travel on the usual routes. The drop-off points are scattered about Amherst and Mont Vernon. You must arrange to meet your child at one of the designated drop-off points.
Late Bus Route
Bus times will vary based on number of students riding each day and the number and location of stops.
