The Souhegan Cooperative School Board is looking for two community members to sit on the Buildings and Grounds committee. The Souhegan Building and Grounds committee oversees the physical plant - including the maintenance, repair, renovation, and expansion of Souhegan High School. This committee is a recommending committee - making recommendations to the Souhegan Cooperative School Board.
The committee will include two Board members (one from Amherst & one from Mont Vernon), two community members (appointed by the School Board), the Director of Facilities, the Business Administrator (or designee) and the Superintendent (or designee).
Interested candidates must be an Amherst or Mont Vernon resident and should submit a letter of interest to the Board (℅ [email protected]) with the following information:
- Number of years you have lived in Amherst or Mont Vernon
- Relevant civic experience, if applicable (school board, select board, or other elected office; finance/budget committees; consulting work; etc.)
- Relevant work experience (does not need to be limited to facility management/construction; could include project management, work in the public sector, loan/financing experience, etc.)
- Reason you wish to be involved in Souhegan Building & Grounds
- Areas of focus you'd like to see Souhegan Buildings & Grounds discuss
- Additional relevant information that will allow you to have an impact on the committee

After the May 12th deadline, two Souhegan Cooperative School board members will meet to review all applicants and make a recommendation for the full board vote on June 5, 2025.
