RED RIBBON WEEK
October 23 -31 is Red Ribbon Week. This is a national campaign that encourages people to take a stand against drugs and to make a personal commitment to live a drug-free lifestyle. This year’s theme is “Love Yourself. Be Drug Free”
AMS has planned some activities in honor of Red Ribbon Week.
Thursday, October 23 is WEAR RED DAY. Students are encouraged to wear red to show their support. Any student wearing red will be eligible to participate in a raffle to win a red AMS shirt. Each grade will have a winner!
Beginning Monday, the 27th, Red Ribbon Pins will be available during lunches. Monday also kicks off our DECORATE A DOOR contest. A group of students (2-8 in a group) can ask any staff member to decorate his or her door. Staff are encouraged to join in. The contest ends Thursday afternoon. A prize for the most creative door and the door that best captures the “Love Yourself. Be Drug Free’ theme will be awarded. All doors will be photographed and displayed in the AMS Lobby.
