    Guide for seniors completing the application process and transcript request.

    Creating Common App Account and FERPA:

    1. Go to www.commonapp.org

    2. Complete registration

    3. Go to Common App tab

    4. Click on Education and complete current or most recent high school

    5. Click on College Search tab and add a college

    6. Click on My Colleges tab and go to Recommenders and FERPA

    7. Go to FERPA release authorization and read instructions

    8. Check box and continue

    9. Decide waive or not waive - provide electronic signature and submit


    Synching Common App and Naviance and requesting transcripts:

    Access Family Connection at http://connection.naviance.com/souhegan and log in

    1. Click the Colleges tab

    2. Click Colleges I’m Applying To

    3. Type in Common App Email Address and date of birth and click Match

    4. In order to add colleges click “add to this list”

    5. Select Type Of Application

    6. Check Request Transcript

    7. Look-up and Select college(s)

    8. Click Add Colleges

    9. Complete the Guidance Department’s Transcript Request Form (Gold)

    10. Submit the form to your counselor in person


    Requesting Teacher Recommendations:

    1. Meet with the teacher and request recommendation. Include info on deadline dates

    2. In Naviance under Colleges I’m Applying To, scroll down to teacher recommendations

    3. Click Add Request

    4. Select Teacher

    5. Send Email

    6. Click Update Request
