    Seventh Grade Barbie Bungee

Seventh grade students in Mrs. Cranney and Mr. Opre’s math classes simulated a bungee jump using Barbie dolls and rubber bands. On March 10, they sent their Barbie Dolls on their bungee jump journeys to gather and graph data. With that data, they wrote direct variation or linear equations to figure out how many rubber bands they needed to give their Barbies the best ride as she bungeed from the second floor stairwell of Amherst Middle School. Then, they used Microsoft Excel to make a scatterplot to best determine the number of rubber bands to secure Barbie’s fate.
