    To be eligible for the Marvel Optics Scholarship you must be:
    Any current, full-time student at an accredited two-year or four -year American university or college is welcome to apply.  There is no age nor specified major requirement.
     
    Award will be annually with each semester (spring and fall) recipient will receive a $1,5000.00 scholarship to the institution of their choice.  The scholarship will be sent directly to the school's financial aid office.

    Each year we will present a $1,000.00 award to an especially promising higher education student who shares our determination and articulates a clear vision about how he or she will work to advance advocacy initiatives and solutions for on-campus problems.
     
    We are opening the Goldstein and Bashner Combating Campus Issues Scholarship to all students currently enrolled in a community college, junior college, undergrad or graduate institution located anywhere in the United States.
     
    High School graduates on the verge of beginning their college studies as well as existing GED holders will also be given consideration for the award.  The strongest candidates for this scholarship are those best able to skillfully articulate their personal understanding of the problem described above on college campuses.
     
    As part of the application process, these individuals will also be asked to describe the ways in which they can work to expand awareness, foster solutions that focus on education and prevention and encourage victims to come forward and demand the justice they deserve. 
     
    Those interested in receiving the scholarship are asked to submit proof of good academic standing from their current educational institution.  For the purposes of Goldstein and Bashner Scholarship, this is evidenced by no less than a 3.0 cumulative GPA on an overall scale of 4.0

    This Scholarship is in honor of a Manchester West High School student Eddie Chambers, who tragically took his life in 2016.  In his name, we, 5 students of Manchester School district, created Mental Illness Awareness and Suicide Prevention, a non-profit organization dedicated to spreading awareness and fighting the stigma surrounding mental illness in New Hampshire.  This scholarship was created to aid students in New Hampshire interested in following our mission to receive a post-secondary education.  Our team at MIASP feels an interest in community service and social work/psychiarty is incredibly important to encourage in students in order to make a change in the mental health world and would like to offer a $1,500.00 scholarship to students who show exceptional passion for community service and who express deep interest in studying social work/psychiatry in post-secondary education.

    2020 Scholarship Guide

    *  Deadline: March 20, 2020 *

    Eligibility Requirements:

    1. The 2020 NHAFCS Scholarship is based on leadership, experience, and career goals.
    2. The scholarship applicant must be a resident of New Hampshire.
    3. The applicant must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
    4. The student must have completed  a minimum of 2 or more Family and Consumer  Sciences or FCS-related courses. 
    1. There must be one recommendation from an FCS teacher who taught the applicant.
    2. There must be one recommendation from a teacher/guidance counselor.
    3. The form must be filled out correctly and directions followed.
    4. This is a non-renewable award.
    5. The application is subject to change from year to year.

    Enrollment: All applicants must be enrolled in an accredited school on a full-time basis in the fall semester of 2020.  Proof of enrollment would be a billing statement from the school. Graduate School students are also eligible for this award.

    *  A mini-lecture, not a personal statement.  Pretend your're a lecturer speaking to a class.  Teach us something.
    *  Clear, creative, accurate, and a demonstration of your passion for the subject.  Your video doesn't need to be fancy or high-tech.  Production value is not a factor.
    *  Three minutes or less in length
    *  About any STEM topic, not necessarily your field of study.
    *  Uploaded to YouTube and marked "public".  It should be accessible to the general public and could, but doesn't have to be targeted at young students.
     
    An advisory board of women who hold higher degrees and work in a broad range of STEM fields will review applications and select finalists.  Finalists will be notified in early 2020 and will move onto the next round to submit additional materials.  A winner will be announced in April 2020.

    Created in memory of BURGER KING Co-founder James "Jim" W. McLamore, The BURGER KING Scholars program has awarded $35 million in scholarships to more than 33,000 high school students, BK employees and their families across the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico since 2000.  In 2018 alone, the Foundation awarded 3.7 million to more than 3,400 students in North America. 
     
    Scholarship grants range from $1,000 to $50,000 and are intended to help students offset the cost of attending college or post-secondary vocational/technical school.  Recipients are selected based on their grade point average (GPA), work experience, extracurricular activities and community service.

    Who is Eligible?

    A) For the 2020 contest, any child or grandchild (or step-child, step-grandchild, or legal ward) of a living Elk who joined the order on or before April 1, 2017, or a charter member of a Lodge that was instituted on or after April 1, 2017, is eligible to apply. The Elk must also be a paid-up member through March 31, 2020. Great-grandchildren are not eligible.

    B) The applicant must be a high school senior.

    C) The applicant must apply online only. The 2020 Legacy Awards application deadline is January 31, 2020 at 11:59 a.m. Central Time.

    D) If the applicant's parent and grandparent are both Elk members, the applicant must apply through the parent's Elks Lodge.

    E) Applicants must take the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or the American College Test (ACT) in time to received their scores before the application deadline by December 31, 2019.

    F) Students may apply for more than one ENF scholarship; however, they may win only one. In cases where the student qualifies for more than one, we will award the scholarship with the greater value. Students can accept local and state scholarships, which are separate from the awards at the national level.

    G) Legacy Awards may only be applied to accredited US American schools, colleges or universities. (Note: Applicants from Guam, Panama, Puerto Rico and the Philippines may apply Legacy Awards toward schools, colleges or universities in their respective homes.)

    ExploraVision is a science competition that goes beyond the typical student science competition and into what it takes to bring ideas to reality. A teacher will sponsor and lead his/her students as they work in groups of 2 – 4 to simulate real research and development. A teacher will guide his or her students as they pick a current technology, research it, envision what it might look like in 20 years, and describe the development steps, pros & cons, and obstacles. Past winners have envisioned technologies ranging from a hand-held food allergen detector to a new device to help people who have lost limbs regain movement in real time.

    Eligibility

    All projects must meet the following requirements:

    A) All entrants must be United States or Canadian citizens and living within the United States, U.S. Territories or Canada and enrolled full-time in a public, private or home school

    B) Students must be no older than 21 years of age

    C) National Science Teachers Association employees, NSTA board members, ExploraVision judges and their respective families are not eligible to enter the competition

    D) Any project that has won at ExploraVision's regional and/or national levels may not be re-submitted in future years

    E) Any project previously awarded a prize in another competition may not be submitted

    F) Any student who was selected as a regional or national finalist in ExploraVision can only compete in subsequent years with a new team - i.e., with students who have not previously been selected as ExploraVision regional or national finalists

    Due to the generosity of an anonymous donor, The Vegetarian Resource Group each year will award $20,000 in college scholarship money to graduating U.S. high school students who have promoted vegetarianism in their schools and/or communities. Vegetarians do not eat meat, fish, or fowl. Vegans are vegetarians who do not use other animal products such as dairy or eggs.

    One award of $10,000 and two awards of $5,000 will be given. Entries may only be sent by students graduating from high school in SPRING 2020.

    We will accept applications postmarked on or before FEBRUARY 20, 2020. Early submission is encouraged.

    To be eligible for the Gordon A. Rich Memorial Scholarship: 
     
    A) Applicants must be dependent children of full-time employees in the financial services industry (commercial banks, investment banks, securities brokerage firms, insurance companies, fund and asset management companies, credit card and finance companies and similar businesses as determined by the Foundation). Employees must be presently employed with five years of experience OR no longer employed in this field but had ten years of experience which ended no longer than five years prior to the GAR Scholarship application closing date (which is located on the top of the application).

    B) Students must be graduating high school seniors who are enrolling as full time first year students in pursuit of a four-year bachelor's degree at an accredited college/university in the United States.

    C) Students must have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) and rank in the top 20% of their class.

    D) Students must demonstrate financial need.

    E) Students must be a US citizen or legal resident.

    Continuing Eligibility/Renewal Requirements

    The Gordon A. Rich Memorial Foundation requires an annual review of each scholarship award to determine renewal eligibility. Recipients must maintain full-time enrollment status and be in good standing with their college to have the award renewed for the next academic year. GAR Scholars are expected to exhibit satisfactory citizenship in both the academic community and in the community at large. Therefore, recipients may not be on any form of academic probation or suspension. In December of each year, a renewal form is sent to each recipient. In April of each year, a letter is sent to each recipient requesting confirmation of full-time enrollment status and intent to maintain that status, a current academic transcript, and a detailed update on the courses, projects, and activities with which the recipient has been involved during the current award year.

    Every year HE Parts Express offers a scholarship to students.  The deadline is April 1.  To be eligible to apply, please read the eligibility guidelines below and then submit an application along with the essay, which can be found on the application page.

    Eligibility:

    A) Must currently be in high school, college, or university.

    B) Must be at least 16 years of age on the day of the deadline.

    C) Must be a resident of the United States or Canada.

    D) Must complete the application before 11:59 PM ET on April 1.

    E) Submit an answer to the essay question, which can be found on the application page.

    *Note that you can be enrolled in any field of study.  The scholarship winner will be announced and contacted within 6 weeks of the deadline by email and/or phone.  If you are not selected, please feel free to return to the website where the winner will be posted roughly 1 week after the announcement (depending on the speed in which we receive confirmation from the applicant selected).

    SCOTT AND KIM VERPLANK FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP 

     

    SCHOLARSHIP VALUE: $10,000.00
    AWARDS: 1
    AWARD DEADLINE: APRIL 15TH, 2020
     
    The Scott and Kim Verplank Foundation provides annually, renewable college scholarships to undergraduate students of up to $10,000 to be used toward tuition, student fees, and books. Scholarships are renewable for up to a maximum of four years for any one recipient based on completing the renewal requirements. Recipients are selected from a pool of applicants meeting the following criteria.

    Minimum Criteria

    A) High School Senior

    B) Childhood diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes

    C) Successfully managing diabetes with proper medication, exercise and diet

    D) Commitment to education by maintaining in excess of a 3.0 grade point average

    E) Commitment to participating in athletics by actively participating on an organized team

    F) United States Citizen

    G) Completion of application with supporting documentation and endorsements

    General Information

    A) Applications are accepted beginning January 1 of a student's Senior year in high school.

    B) Awardees must maintain a 3.0 grade point average until graduation.

    C) To be considered for funding to begin in the fall, applications must be received by the Foundation by April 15. Applications received after April 15 will not be considered.

    Timeline and Process

    A) Once an application is considered Technically Complete (Completion and Submission of application and medical endorsement by April 15 at 11:59 pm) each applicant will receive an email confirming receipt.

    B) An Applicant Portfolio with application and endorsements will be prepared and reviewed by the Foundation Office for consideration of the Verplank Scholarship.

    C) Portfolio reviews begin in March for current seniors.

    D) Additional information may be requested from applicants during the review process including but not limited to completion of Supplemental Survey and Budget.

    E) The Foundation Board of Directors will announce their selections in mid-June. All applicants will receive an email regarding their status.

    F) Upon selection and notification of award in June, Verplank Scholars will receive information about Award Activation and Renewal Requirements

    2020 LOCKHEED MARTIN STEM SCHOLARSHIP

     

    SCHOLARSHIP VALUE: $10,000.00

    AWARDS: UP TO 200 RENEWABLE

    AWARD DEADLINE: MARCH 12TH, 2020
     

    Lockheed Martin is awarding up to 200 renewable scholarships of $10,000 each. Awards are open to individuals studying eligible engineering or computer science majors, who demonstrate financial need and come from underrepresented or underserved communities.

    Applicants must:

    • Be high school seniors, freshmen or sophomore undergraduate students
    • Be U.S. citizens
    • Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States for the upcoming academic year
    • Be majoring or planning to major in one of many specified eligible STEM programs
    • Demonstrate financial need
    • Be open to outreach from Lockheed Martin recruitment teams regarding possible internship opportunities. (Note: All interested candidates and scholars must apply through the Lockheed Martin careers site to be considered.)

    THE LEAGUE OF NH CRAFTSMEN

    The mission of the League of NH Craftsmen is to encourage, nurture and promote the creation, use and preservation of fine contemporary and traditional craft through the inspiration and education of artists and the broader community.  The League promotes a high standard of excellence through its jury process and works to ensure marketing and educational opportunities for our members. Public awareness of the tradition of handmade craft is made possible through the Annual Craftsmen’s Fair held each August at Mount Sunapee Resort in Newbury, NH, exhibitions in The Gallery at League Headquarters in Concord, and through our eight retail galleries located in Center Sandwich, Concord, Littleton, Hanover, Hooksett, Meredith, North Conway and Nashua.

    Education is a major component of the mission of the League. Craft classes are held at several of our Fine Craft Galleries and education programs are available at Littleton Studio School and Craft Studios in Hanover. These programs are supported in part through League grants. League scholarships are awarded to established craftspeople as well as to emerging artists.

    The League of NH Craftsmen would be honored to aid in the support of a student entering a college of their choice to study a craft related discipline. All applications must be received by April 1st. The scholarship recipient may be asked to participate in an internship with the designer of the “Living With Craft” exhibition in preparation of the Annual Craftsmen’s Fair, which will provide an opportunity for exposure to a career in the craft field.

    The New Hampshire Association of Broadcasters is proud to once again offer the Student Broadcaster Scholarship.

    To apply for this scholarship, a student must be a New Hampshire resident, be enrolled or plan to enroll at an accredited two or four-year school with a major or intention of studying in a field related to over-the-air broadcasting.  The student need not attend college in New Hampshire to be eligible.

    Scholarships will be considered from applicants whose primary residences are in one of the following towns located within the Greater Manchester/Nashua Board of REALTORS® jurisdiction:
     
    Amherst, Auburn, Bedford, Brookline, Candia, Goffstown, Hollis, Hooksett, Hudson, Litchfield, Manchester, Merrimack, Milford, Mont Vernon, Nashua, and New Boston.

    Students applying for a scholarship muyst be enrolled in, or planning to enroll in, a college or vocational-technical school as a full-time student for the 2020-2021 school year. Students who have a parent or guardian that is a member of the Greater Manchester/Nashua Board of REALTORS® are also eligible to apply. Members of the GMNBR Scholarship Committee, and their families, are ineligible.
    Scholarships will be granted according to the following criterion:
     
    1.    Need and Grade Point – The applicants need and GPA will be evaluated. If both are evenly balanced, the need will be given more weight.
     
    2.    Industry Concentration – Since we, as REALTORS®, wish to promote education and professionalism in our industry special consideration will be given to applicants majoring in related fields such as, but not limited to: political science, real estate, real estate law, banking, taxes, or a vocational related field.
     
    3.    Extracurricular Activity – A record of community, civic or school involvement will also be considered.
     
    The Community Service Committee is dedicated to working throughout the year to raise money for the scholarships by means of raffles, events, and other fundraisers.

    SKRUNGLOO FARM, INC. SCHOLARSHIP
     
    Skrungloo Farm, Inc., a New Hampshire Non-Profit Charitable Foundation, is seeking applicants for its 2020 Scholarship Awards.  Skrungloo Farm, Inc. is an approved 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization registered with the State of New Hampshire and the Federal Government.  The Foundation has establised scholarships in order to help individual New Hampshire residents educate themselves in order to build a stronger community.  Applicants must demonstrate financial need, academic merit, and other non-academic factors such as commiunity service, school activities and work experience.  This is the seventeenth year for the Foundation's Scholarship Program.  The Foundation has awarded a total of 554 scholarships in the past few years and looks forward to assisting many student sin 2020.  Student Services will have applications available for students.
